Our undyed Polwarth tops are a dream to spin – soft, lofty, and wonderfully springy. Grown from a breed developed in Australia by crossing Merino with Lincoln sheep, Polwarth fibre combines the best of both worlds: the fine softness of Merino with the added strength and subtle sheen of Lincoln. With a staple length of around 4–6 inches and a micron count of approximately 22–23, this fibre is perfect for both beginners and experienced spinners alike. It drafts smoothly, felts beautifully, and takes dye like a charm.Whether you’re looking to create your own hand-dyed masterpieces or simply enjoy the natural beauty of creamy white fleece, these tops are ready for your next spinning, felting, or fibre blending adventure.
