Rambouillet wool tops are a delight to spin, offering a lofty, springy fibre with surprising softness and bounce. Closely related to Merino, Rambouillet sheep produce fine wool with a bit more crimp and elasticity, making it perfect for bouncy handspun yarns with great memory and structure.
With a micron range typically around 19–23 and a staple length of 3–5 inches, this combed top is easy to draft and ideal for spinning fine to medium-weight yarns. The natural cream colour takes dye beautifully and blends well with other fibres.
Whether you're spinning for socks, sweaters, or shawls, Rambouillet adds a bit of bounce and warmth to every project.
